Hatherton Lodge Farm

As of the beginning of May 2023 this water is no longer on the Nantwich Angling Society card.

The lodge pool was stocked at the start of 2023 with Crucians and Tench around a lb in weight, plus Rudd. The pool is around half an acre in size and the depth varies from 1ft to 4ft. It’s an old school farm pool, which will take you back to your childhood 😊.

The pool can accommodate up to 8 anglers. This pool is going to take some time to mature and your feedback is important. So remember it’s a work in progress.

The Future

The big pool at Hatherton farm is now open for fishing.

The pool is known to contain carp to around 10lb, crucian carp, perch, roach & tench. However due to it not being fished until recently the size of carp and variety of species is unknown.

The depths of the pool vary between 2ft-12ft.

Fishing is from the left hand bank as you get to the bottom of the track, along the right hand bank as you walk to the bridges to the small island & the swims cut out along the small island. Fishing from the big island is forbidden as the bridges are unstable & potentially dangerous, boats are for committee use only during work parties.

Do NOT try & access the big island or the boats!

During summer months when the ground is dry parking is permitted down by the lake. During the Winter months & wet weather, parking is at the top of the track on the hard standing ground making sure you don’t obstruct access for farm vehicles.

It is NOT the responsibility of the farmer to tow your vehicle if it becomes stuck when parking down by the lake! Bear this in mind if there has been rain recently.

Please submit catch reports & pictures to the NAS Facebook page or email address so we can monitor how the lake is fishing.
